FTTP Supervisor

Fibre Cabling Engineers

RCU Solutions are currently recruiting for experienced Fibre Cabling Engineers for new and existing contracts.

The role will require you to carry out the following:

• Attend sites and provide underground and overhead fibre cabling.
• Installation of Overhead and Underground Fibre distribution points.
• Test, Rod & Roping, including installation of sub-duct.
• Blowing fibre cable using the latest blowing technology.
• Working at heights and in the UG network whilst following Health and Safety legislation.
• Working as an individual and as a part of team to achieve targets.

You will have the following qualifications and be able to prove experience and competence:
• Must hold a full UK driving licence.
• Experience of Test Rod & Roping / cabling within the Openreach and PIA network
• Have extensive experience of working on the Openreach Fibre and PIA network.
• Experience within a hands on trade
• Excellent customer service skills
• Be motivated and be able to work independently as well be a team player.
• Be comfortable and willing to work at heights and underground when required.

• Trench excavation
• Laying of ducting including 96.5mm & 8mm microduct
• Installation of cabinets

Safety, Health, Environmental & Quality (SHEQ) Apprenticeship

We have an exciting new opportunity for a talented individual looking to build their career in a rapidly growing business.

As a SHEQ Apprentice you will be a valuable addition to the team, assisting in ensuring that the legal and company SHE requirements are completed.

On a daily basis your role will be to:

• Assist to develop, review and check on the implementation of safe systems of work
• Deliver training such as toolbox talks and inductions
• Investigate incidents
• Analyse data and present findings to the management team

Full training will be provided as part of an 18-24 month apprenticeship programme. On successful completion you will be awarded with a level 3 SHEQ qualification.

Store/Yard Person

With the growth of the business RCU Solutions are looking to employ a full time Store/Yard Person who is to be based at our Head Office in Witham.

You will be responsible for:​

• Carrying out inspection of goods received – checking for damage, quantity and quality of items received​
• Issuing of materials, plant and tooling along with associated record keeping.​
• Control of all stock and maintaining stock levels agreed by the delivery manager.​
• Looking after plant tools and fleet.
• Maintaining quality, batch control and traceability of materials, plant and tooling.​

You will have the following qualifications and be able to prove experience and competence:​

• Must hold a full UK driving licence for at least 12 months ​
• Hold a valid counterbalance forklift licence (NPORS desirable)​
• The ability to multitask, to a high standard with exceptional attention to detail​
• Logical and methodical.​
• Team player with the ability to work alone.​
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.​
• Skilled in Microsoft applications and systems.​
• Financial awareness.​
• Proven track record of good organisational skills, including managing workload effectively​
